Voters to recieve notice of removal from register in post

Voters in the county are being reminded they should receive a letter notifying them if they are being removed from the electoral register. Liz O Donnell of Kerry County Council who compiles the register says it`s based on information from local sources and field workers. She says there is an appeals process available for people objecting to being removed from the register but traditionally just a handful of people are affected each year. Liz O Donnell was reacting to reports that up to 100 voters were removed from the register in Killorglin without their knowledge. She says she has every faith in the independence of the process and the field workers
