Valentia Harbour/Portmagee Channel formally designated a special area of conservation

An area in South Kerry has been formally designated a special area of conservation.

The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan, has formally designated the Valentia Harbour and Portmagee Channel a special area of conservation.

This statutory instrument was the final step in the designation of existing SACs and does not place any new or additional conditions on landowners, other than those already which already apply.
