A major search operation is continuing for a missing fisherman in West Cork.
Valentia Coast Guard, the RNLI and the Naval Service are all involved in the search in the Dunmanus Bay area.
The fisherman, who is in his 20s, was reported missing shortly after 8.30 pm yesterday evening.
Overnight searches were conducted by the Shannon and Waterford based Coast Guard Helicopters, Castletownbere and Baltimore RNLI, Naval ship LE WB Yeats, and local fishing vessels with shoreline searches being conducted by Schull and Goleen Coast Guard units.
Castletownbere RNLI volunteers launched their lifeboat at 6.15am this morning and have been joined by a number of fishing vessels from Castletownbere.
The search is currently being co-ordinated by the LE William Butler Yeats.
Wreckage of a ship has been discovered near the coastline in the Schull area, and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
