Uptake of MMRvacine rises slightly in the county

The uptake of the MMR vaccine in the county has risen to 82 per cent in the last year from 80. The Health Service Executive says while this is high it still means that one in five children in the county is not immunised against measles. Dr Fiona Ryan, specialist in public health medicine with the HSE South says we will continue to have outbreaks at this rate of immunisation.
