UHK named among nine hospitals without Emergency Consultant cover

University Hospital Kerry has been named among a total of nine of the country’s 29 Emergency Departments, that does not have Emergency Consultant cover.

Fianna Fail is warning that this cannot be best patient safety practice.

The Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar and Wexford General Hospital are also among the facilities impacted, according to the party.
