Two Kerry schools shortlisted in this year’s Bord Gáis Energy Student Theatre Awards

Two Kerry schools have made the shortlist for the annual Bord Gáis Energy Student Theatre Awards in May.

Shortlisted primary and secondary school students from across the country will gather at the Theatre on May 17th where the winners will be announced.

Loughfouder National School in Knocknagoshel has been shortlisted in the Best Set category for its set creation in the production of ‘The Yank Returns’ by 3rd to 6th class students.

Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School in Tralee has been shortlisted in the Best Set category for secondary schools for its set creation in the school production of ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

Finally, 5th Year student Cian McGrath from Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School has been shortlisted in the Best Dramatic Review category for his review of the theatre production ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf: A Triumph in Theatre’.
