Two judges visit Listowel as part of International Communities in Bloom

Two judges are visiting Listowel today as part of the International Communities in Bloom competition.

It involves winners from different national programmes including Tidy Towns in Ireland, competing with each other based on population categories.

The jury of two judges, one from Canada and one from Italy, will arrive in Listowel this afternoon and stay until Friday morning undertaking their evaluation; the winners will be announced at a ceremony in Canada in September.

Cllr Jimmy Moloney of Listowel Tidy Towns says Listowel was chosen because of its success in the Tidy Towns competition.
