Two areas of Kerry have failed to meet waste water standards applied by the Environmental Protection Agency

Two areas of Kerry have failed to meet waste water standards applied by the Environmental Protection Agency. Rain drop Rathmore failed on quality issues. Dingle had good quality effluent but did not provide a sufficient number of results and as a result failed to meet EPA standards. Kerry County Council says there’s been significant investment in the Waste Water Plant network including Waterville, Ballylongford and Tarbert and this is reflected in the EPA report. From January 1st, Irish Water has taken over responsibility for the water and wastewater infrastructure in Ireland and Kerry County Council will continue to work with them to ensure continued investment in the water and wastewater network.
