Tributes on the passing of Tralee Rose of Tralee singer

Tributes are being paid to the late Liam Heaslip who passed away on Friday.

The Tralee singer was acclaimed for his baritone voice and is remembered for serenading many Roses of Tralee from 1975 until the late 1980s.

Mr. Heaslip was also a founding member of Siamsa Tire, the National Folk Theatre of Ireland.

The Rose of Tralee International Festival says it was incredibly lucky to have known Liam Heaslip and had the privilege to hear him sing.

Funeral Mass for the late Liam Heaslip will take place tomorrow in St. John’s Parish Church, Tralee at 12 noon.
