Trial of Georgian man charged with a murder in Tralee 10 years ago gets underway

The trial of a Georgian national charged with the murder of fellow Georgian in Tralee 10 years ago is beginning today in the Central Criminal Court in Dublin. By DubhEire (Own work) [CC0], via Wikimedia Commons In February last year Badri Khvedelidze  was detained in Spain in connection with the death of George Tkeshelashvili in Tralee in 2005. Gardaí in Tralee launched a murder investigation in 2005 after the stabbing of a 47-year-old man in an apartment block on Mary Street on October 15th. George Tkeshelashvili from the former Soviet republic of Georgia, died in Kerry General Hospital following a row. A post mortem examination confirmed he died from stab wounds.
