Tralee’s John Hurley takes Best Technical gong at AIMS

Tralee Musical Society has been recognised for its excellence once again at this year’s Association of Irish Musical Society’s awards.

At the annual national awards ceremony in Killarney’s INEC John Hurley took home the gong in the Best Technical category for the society’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

The society was runner up in the Best Visual and Stage Management categories.

Killarney Musical Society was also runner up in the musical director category for its production of Me and My Girl.

Over 1300 people attended the glitzy event which saw the much sought-after title of Best Overall Show go to Leixlip Musical and Variety Group for their production of Legally Blonde.
