Tralee Town Council elects Cllr Terry O Brien as new Mayor

Tralee Town Council last evening elected a new Mayor at their Annual General Meeting. Labour Cllr Terry O Brien took over the position from Fianna Fail Cllr Johnnie Wall. He was elected by an eight to four majority. This is Cllr O Brien`s second term as Mayor, he last wore the Mayoral chain during the 2003 and 2004 term. Fianna Fail Cllr Ciaran Moriarty was elected as Deputy Mayor. Mayor O Brien pinpointed the taxi situation as a major issue that will have to be dealt with this year.
