Tralee Solicitor speaks out on case of the Colombia Three

A Tralee Solicitor Patrick Daly, who visited the Colombia Three on six occasions while they were in prison has said he saw no evidence to prove the men were training Farc rebels. Mr Daly travelled to the country as an observer with the Irish Council for Civil Liberties at the request of the families of the three men.The last time he was there was in June 2004, two months after the men were aquitted of the main charge of training Farc rebels. Patrick Daly said he could not see proof that Niall Connolly, James Monahan and Martin McCauley did more than meet the Farc’s.
