Tralee man who urinated in Killarney shop given a prison sentence

A Tralee man who urinated in a Killarney shop has been given a prison sentence.

Maurice Roche of Woodview Park, Tralee appeared before Tralee District Court, facing a charge of criminal damage, arising out of an incident earlier this month.

On Tuesday, April 16th, Maurice Roche departed Killarney District Court, after being discreetly removed from the courtroom by gardaí.

Later that day he went to Dealz on High Street, where he urinated on cushions, cleaning products and food in the store.

The court heard that all items had to be disposed of, to a value of just under €100.

Mr Roche, who has 230 previous convictions, was taken into custody the day after the offence.

Judge David Waters sentenced him to three months in prison for the criminal damage offence, and took an earlier public order incident into consideration.
