Tralee homeless service highlights lack of move-on facilities

The manager of a centre for homeless people in Kerry says the lack of move-on facilities needs to be addressed. Homeless Arlington Lodge is Kerry’s only temporary-supported homeless facility, established in Tralee by Novas Initiatives in 2003. Project Manager of the centre Tom Wall says legislation such as the requirement for  hand basins in at least  each room is getting in the way of progress. Mr Wall is concerned that the homeless crisis will slip off the Government agenda despite the recent death of Jonathan Corrie close to Leinster House: [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/33090/medium/”]
