The Garda Superintendent serving the Tralee Division, Dan Keane, is to retire on the 1st of September.
Superintendent Keane joined An Garda Síochána in 1983.
The West Cork man has spent the majority of his career in Kerry.

Eight years ago, he was promoted to Garda Superintendent.
As superintendent, he served first in Roxboro Road Garda District in Limerick before being moved to Listowel.
He's been the superintendent for the Tralee Garda Division for the past two years.
