Councilors in Tralee will have to meet again in the New Year to agree their budget. This morning’s meeting failed to reach a decision on whether the council should run a bin service for the coming year. The 15-million euro budget is providing for a bin charge of 340 euro. However, private operators are offering to collect domestic rubbish for 280 euro. When the Town Council meets again on January 5th, a rate will have to be struck within nine days.
