Tralee Chamber Alliance is seeking a meeting with Dunnes Stores to discuss its vacant property in Tralee town centre.
The building was raised at this week’s meeting of Tralee Municipal District with councillors calling for action to be taken on the Bridge Street site which has been vacant for over a decade.
In a letter to Director of Dunnes Stores, Anne Heffernan, Tralee Chamber Alliance says the viability of neighbouring properties and businesses is being undermined by the vacancy.
The group says Bridge Street is at a critical juncture with planned regeneration works.
It has requested a meeting with Dunnes Stores’ management with a view to defining a beneficial solution to having this property re-opened within a defined short timeframe.
