Traffic arrangements for royal visit to Kerry announced

Traffic arrangements have been announced for the visit of Prince Charles and his wife Camilla to Kerry.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will travel around the county tomorrow (Friday 15th June).

Gardaí are appealing to the public to be patient and cooperate with their directions during the royal visit; they say every effort will be made to minimise disruption and delays.

Members of An Garda Síochána will be on duty at all road closures.

Minor roads in and around Derrynane House and Park will be closed from 12 midnight tonight to 12.30pm tomorrow, which will impact a very limited number of houses.

In Tralee, Ivy Terrace will close to traffic from 10am to 2pm on Friday, Mary Street and Abbey Street will be closed from 7am to 2pm.

Traffic traveling down Denny Street in the direction of the Ashe Memorial Hall will be directed around the Ashe Memorial Hall back up Denny Street.

In Killarney, Mission Road will close to traffic in both directions from 2.45pm to 4.45pm approx. on Friday.
Gardaí are warning of heavy traffic congestion in the town for the duration of the visit.
