Tourist suffers head injuries in jarvey trap accident

A German tourist has suffered serious head injuries after an accident involving a jarvey`s trap in the Gap of Dunloe. Gardai say there were two people on bord the jarveys trap when the single vehicle accident took place. It`s possible the people were thrown from or jumped from the trap on Saturday afternoon. A woman in her sixties suffered severe head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Tralee General Hospital. Her condition is described as stable this morning. The incident comes after jarveys faced going out of business because they could not get insurance for the trip through the gap.
