Total Enjoyment for Kerry duo at Galway Races

Tralee businessman James O’Shea is 34 and a half thousand euro richer today after his horse “Kentucky Charm” landed the feature GPT Galway Handicap on the first day of the festival at Ballybritt. Limerick jockey Kevin Power took one of the biggest races of the year for amateurs aboard the O’Shea owned and Edward O Grady-trained gelding, running out a convincing two-and-a-half-length winner. Kentucky Charm returned at 8/1.Tralee trainer Tommy Cooper was also in the winners enclosure. He had his first ever winner at Galway when 11/1 shot Indian Four swooped inside the final furlong to land the GPT Cork Handicap.
