Thursday Morning Sports Update

SOCCER

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is a doubt for Sunday’s Premier League showdown with Liverpool.

He sustained a muscle injury in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Atalanta.

Sub goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was then sent off, so Kyle Walker ended the match in goal.

Elsewhere, Tottenham beat Red Star Belgrade 4-0 in Serbia, with Heung Min Son scoring twice.

In the Europa League tonight, Manchester United will qualify for the last 32 with two games to spare should they defeat Partizan Belgrade at Old Trafford.

RUGBY

Johnny Sexton says it’s going to take longer than a couple of weeks to recover from Ireland’s Rugby World Cup exit.
