Former Liverpool winger John Barnes says the club needs to forget that they are Premier League champions heading into the new season.

The Merseysiders lifted their first top flight since 1990 in the last campaign.

They’ll begin the new season on September 12th at home to Leeds, before games away to Chelsea and at home to Arsenal.

Barnes says Liverpool now need to reset and go again.

The fixtures were announced today but City's home game against Villa and United's trip to Burnley are postponed due to their extended European involvement.

Dublin midfielder Lauren Magee has become the latest Irish player to be confirmed for the 2021 Aussie Rules Women’s season.

The three-time All-Ireland winner will join Dublin team-mates Sinéad Goldrick and Niamh McEvoy at Melbourne FC.

The long-term sponsorship agreement between cartell.ie and The Rally of the Lakes will continue for at least one more year following the sale of the car data firm to Independent News and Media (INM) in July.

INM’s Belgian parent company Mediahuis bought the vehicle history firm last month as a complement to its existing car sales website CarsIreland.ie.

Locally, the international media firm also owns The Kerryman newspaper.

Cartell.ie, the Kildare based company, has sponsored the Rally of the Lakes since 2010.
