Three members of Killarney family hospitalised following crash in Australia

Three members of a Killarney family have been hospitalised following a serious road crash in Australia. It’s understood Gerard and Marguerite Brosnan from Port Road were visiting their daughter Karen in Perth when the vehicle they were all travelling in was struck by another. Australia flag The crash happened on Sunday night (January 4th) around 10.20 in the Karrinyup area of Perth. The station wagon, in which the Brosnans were passengers, collided with a car near an intersection. The 56 year old driver of the station wagon, who is from Perth, died from his injuries in hospital. Five passengers, including the Brosnans, were brought to hospital with serious injuries. 55 year old Gerard Brosnan is in the Intensive Care Unit of Royal Perth Hospital and is described as critical but stable. His 52 year old wife Marguerite is serious but stable as is their 28 year old daughter Karen. The 20 year old driver of the other car was arrested at the scene and he has been charged with drink driving and two counts of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and three of dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He was released on bail and is due in Perth Magistrates Court on February 3rd.
