Thousands of volunteers will be out in force tomorrow for the annual KWD County Clean Up.

The event, now in its eighth year, will see community groups, Tidy Towns committees, voluntary and sporting organisations and families take part.

Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Norma Foley says it’s hoped to have the largest ever number of participants this year.

Last year, around 5,500 volunteers joined in the effort and a record 8,000 bags of litter were collected.
