Thousands of cyclists to take part in Stephen Roche Atlantic Challenge

Thousands of cyclists will be taking part in a major charity event in Tralee and west Kerry tomorrow.

The Stephen Roche Atlantic Challenge will attract participants from all over the world and some famous faces including Sonia O’Sullivan and Sean Kelly.

Cyclists will begin from the Rose Hotel, Tralee at 9am tomorrow.

The Ballymullen Roundabout to Tonevane road will be closed from 8.45am to 9.15am.

The Conor Pass road will be closed from 9.45am to 11.30am and the road from Slea Head to Ventry to Dunquin will be closed from 11am to midday.

From noon to 5pm the east side of Bridge Place to Ivy Terrace in Tralee will be closed as will be the north side of Ivy Terrace.

From 10.30am to 7pm The Mall will be closed to traffic and from 7am to 5pm the west side of Denny Street will be closed to traffic and parking.

Gardaí will be on duty and motorists are asked to obey directions from stewards.
