Kerry's Mike Quirke stepped down today from his role as Laois Senior Football Manager with immediate effect.
He made the announcement on the Laois GAA social media channels this afternoon - less than 24 hours after his team's heavy loss to Westmeath.
The Kerry native took over for the 2020 season and Laois preserved their Division 2 status before beating Longford and then losing to Dublin in championship.
The O'Moore men were relegated in this year's Allianz Football League campaign after losing a play-off to Down.
Mike spoke on Terrace Talk and was first asked him about his time with Laois.
