Renowned strength and conditioning coach Mike McGurn raised some eyebrows last week when he suggested that "a lot of senior county football teams are doing more training than the All Blacks".

Over the weekend, adapted physical activity specialist and All-Ireland winning Kerry minor trainer Chris Flannery weighed in and said the following:

Players are exhausted mentally and physically while still in their optimal years. The reigns need to be pulled on ego driven Strength and Conditioning practices.
