Teenager charged with Lixnaw murder to appear in court again next week

A teenager charged with murdering his mother in north Kerry will reappear in court again next week. Susan Dunne 19 year old Patrick Dunne of Ballinagearagh, Lixnaw was brought before a special sitting of Killarney District Court this morning. 62 year old Susan Dunne was found dead in the home she shared with her son Patrick on Wednesday morning. Last night Patrick was charged with his mother’s murder at Listowel Garda Station. Detective Sergeant John Gleeson told Killarney District Court today that the accused made no reply when charged. Judge Olan Kelliher agreed to a request from Gardai that Mr Dunne be remanded to St Patrick’s Institution in Dublin. His solicitor Pat Enright requested his client be afforded with appropriate medical care. Judge Kelliher adjourned the case to next Wednesday at Listowel District Court.
