County Clean Up day kicks off with special guest, Leo Varadkar

An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, is visiting Kerry today where he will experience the eighth annual County Clean Up day first hand.

Thousands of volunteers are out on the roads today for the initiative which is sponsored by KWD recycling.

The Taoiseach has been out meeting Tidy Towns committees and local election candidates ahead of a visit to the Aghadoe viewing point later this afternoon.

Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Norma Foley, says each community will be represented by hundreds of volunteers.
