Strike to take place at The Bons Secours hospital in Tralee

Over 20 hospital workers are to strike in Tralee at the beginning of next month. The clerical and administrative staff at The Bons Secours voted for industrial action after a dispute arose between union and hospital management At the beginning of February the group of hospital workers in Tralee voted to strike. The 22 clerical and administrative staff at The Bon Secours were then given the go-ahead for industrial action from siptu headquarters The union says the row at the hospital arose from the failure of management to adhere to normal industrial relations procedures. Hospital management have so far declined to comment on the issue apart from saying they are aware of it. Almost 60 other SIPTU workers at the bons secours are not involved but will be consulted
