The South of the country is worst effected, especially parts of Cork, as the storm tracks north.

A status orange rain warning's in place across Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal.

A similar yellow alert in place for the rest of the country - while a status yellow wind warning's in effect for Munster, Dublin, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Wicklow.

Gardai are urging caution on all roads throughout Kerry with some flooding reported in Bonane.

Kerry County Council says N71 at Dromanassig and the Roughty Road near Sheen Falls are both now passable and are open.There is flooding on the N70 road adjacent to the Ring of Kerry Hotel Cahersiveen. Road is passable but take care.

Also reports of Flooding at Creamery Cross (Portmagee Road junction with N70). Road passable with caution.

Valentia Ferry is not running today.

Listeners have advised that there is a big tree blocking the road to Ballyhar as you leave Firies, and a trampoline on Tralee Castlemaine road between the horseshoe and hairpin bends.

Conor Faughnan from AA Roadwatch says the flooding is widespread around the country.
