Strong winds to hit Kerry during overnight weather warning

Winds with gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour are to batter Kerry overnight.

A status yellow wind warning for the county, issued by Met Eireann, came into effect at 3pm and is valid until 11 o’clock tomorrow morning.

South to southwest winds will be strongest on exposed coasts and hills and there is a risk of coastal flooding due to high seas and gales.
