STEM courses prove popular among Kerry students

STEM courses are proving to be popular among Kerry students.
That’s according to guidance counsellor Billy Ryle.
He says CAO applicants were focused on the jobs market with large numbers applying for courses with strong employment growth, particularly in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) courses.
The Kerry guidance counsellor says there was also strong demand for Business, Psychology and Environmental Science with IT Tralee’s Honours Business degree increasing to 307 points.
The points required for teaching held steady while some nursing and law degrees saw a slight decrease in points.
