“People in Hawaii aren’t as friendly as people in Dingle”.

That’s according the Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, aka Luke Skywalker, speaking following the release of the latest instalment The Last Jedi this week.

The Sunday Independent today reports Mark Hamill’s glowing endorsements for Kerry in subsequent interviews, including a chat with Rose of Tralee host Dáithí Ó Sé.

After likening the scenery of the Dingle Peninsula to that of Hawaii he praised the warm welcome he and fellow Star Wars actors received there during filming for Episode VIII on Ceann Sibéal.

He said he was ‘stunned’ by the views every time he stepped outside his rented home just west of Dingle town, saying it was like ‘a map painting from a movie’ and ‘indescribably beautiful’.
