Staff at Tralee factory to ballot on Labour Court recommendations

Staff at the Glen Dimplex plant in Tralee are to be balloted on Labour Court recommendations in relation to redundancy terms. The plant is to close later this month with the loss of 70 jobs. Management and unions at Glen Dimplex took part in a Labour Court sitting in Tralee in recent weeks and the Courts recommendations have now been circulated to both parties. A spokesperson for SIPTU confirmed that its members at the plant are to be balloted on the recommendations later this week. The factory is scheduled to close on April 21st.
