Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Virgil van Dijk could feature in their pre-season friendly with Hertha Berlin on Thursday.
The Dutch defender has been out of action for nine months, after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in October's Merseyside derby against Everton.
Klopp tells LFC TV van Dijk is one of a number of players looking to test their fitness.
