Liam Dowling’s Ballymac Fairone has been drawn in trap 3 for the English Derby Final on Saturday night.

Dowling’s Ballymac Wild will go from trap 5.

Patrick Janssens’ Thorn Falcon is the only runner to see his price shorten.

The son of Dorotas Wildcat – Hey Delilah was already guaranteed the stripes before the draw was made as he is the only wide runner in the final, so he is probably the most perfectly drawn to pick up the £175,000 prize with punters getting behind him.

Thorn Falcon is one of two finalists for trainer Patrick Janssens with the rest of the field Irish-trained. The talented wide seed has won three heats of the English Greyhound Derby with his career best coming in the second round when he clocked 29.34 after a 4.22 sectional.

BoyleSports have cut Thorn Falcon into 5/1 from 11/2, while Ballymac Wild has been eased to 13/2 from 6/1 for trainer Liam Dowling having drawn trap five. Deerjet Sydney has drawn the blue jacket and remains the 2/1 favourite for trainer Pat Buckley. Newinn Session (7/2) is in trap one and Kilara Lion (25/1) is in four.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: "The draw for the English Greyhound Derby final took place on Monday and despite Thorn Falcon automatically getting trap six, there has been enough support for him to move into 5/1 from 11/2 based on the traps the rest of the field got. Ballymac Wild is out in five with his odds eased slightly to 13/2 from 6/1, but it’s still all about defending champion Deerjet Sydney, who wears the blue jacket for trainer Pat Buckley and is the 2/1 favourite.”
