Sports Minister Thomas Byrne claims the FAI’s requests for funding are unrealistic.
They’re seeking 517-million euro in government funding over 15 years to help with 2-and-a-half thousand projects across the country as part of their facility investment strategy.
Minister Byrne has previously stated there will be assistance for academies, but appears unaware of the level to which that funding is required
