Shamrock Rovers have had an appeal against Richie Towell’s red card against Cork City rejected.
He was shown a straight red in Friday night’s 1-nil defeat at Turners Cross.
The resultant three-match ban means Towell will miss Rovers’ upcoming games with Dundalk, Sligo Rovers and UCD.
