Premier League changes rules on long-term contracts

The Premier League has changed the rules on long-term contracts for players.

The value of a player's transfer fee can now only be spread over the first five years of their deal in the club's accounts.

Chelsea have been among clubs offering deals of eight years in some cases, decreasing the amount the fee is valued at per season when it comes to rules covering profit and loss.
