Newcastle sporting director on gardening leave following approach from Man United

Newcastle's sporting director Dan Ashworth has been put on gardening leave - after telling the club he wants to move following an approach from Manchester United.

But it's thought it'll cost new investors INEOS more than 10-million-pounds to bring him to Old Trafford.

Ashworth would head up day-to-day football operations, and take responsibility for recruitment.
