Ireland win 4th medal at Olympic games

Kellie Harrington is assured of at least a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

The Dublin boxer and number one seed is into the semi-finals in the women's lightweight decision.

Harrington, the 2018 world champion, got the nod from all the judges in her quarter-final bout against Algeria's Imane Khelif.

It's Ireland fourth medal of these Games and their 18th in boxing since 1952.

Leon Reid says he wants to "give it a lash" in his 200-metres semi-final this lunchtime.

He advanced from the heats after running a season's best 20.53 seconds this morning.

Dubliner Andrew Coscoran has advanced to the semi-final of the 1500-metres.

But Marcus Lawler and Phil Healy bowed out in their heats.

Later this morning, Bertram Allen, Darragh Kenny and Cian O'Connor get their campaigns underway in the individual show-jumping.

The qualifiers get underway at 11am.
