The hearing into Manchester City's alleged breaches of 115 Premier League rules is set to take place next month, with a decision expected in the New Year.
An independent commission will convene in September, according to the UK Times newspaper.
City have denied all wrongdoing but could face the threat of relegation from the Premier League should the most serious financial irregularities be proven.
