German legend Franz Beckenbauer has died at the age of 78.
The defender who was nicknamed 'Der Kaiser - or 'The Emperor', is unanimously viewed as one of the sport's greatest ever players.
Beckenbauer played in the West Germany side that lost the World Cup final against England in 1966 - before going on to win the tournament for his country as a player in 1974, and manager in 1990.
