Federer and Djokovic into Wimbledon quarters

Eight-time champion Roger Federer booked his place in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon this evening.
The 39-year-old beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego in straight sets 7-5, 6-4, 6-2 on centre court.
It was the Swiss player's 118th time to win at the London venue.
He thanked the crowd for their support after the victory.

Elsewhere, Novak Djokovic made it through to his 50th Grand Slam quarter-final after easing past Chilean Cristian Garin in straight sets.
Sixth seed Alexander Zverev is out after he lost 3-sets-to-2 to Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime in their last 16 encounter.
And second seed Daniil Medvedev leads Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 2-sets-to-1 in their last-16 match where will resume tomorrow.

Women's world number one Ash Barty made it through to the quarter-finals for the first time in her career today.
She beat French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova (Pron Cry-ch-cova) in straight sets.
While 2018 champion Angelique Kerber beat 17-year-old Coco Gauff in straight sets on centre court.
