FAI vote against proposal to add two female members

The FAI's General Assembly last night voted against a proposal to add two female members to the association's board before the year's end.

The FAI are looking to comply with a Government directive that would see 40 per cent gender representation.

If the resolution is not passed, it's feared government funding could be lost.

A revised proposal will be put to the General Assembly at the FAI AGM on December 9th.
