The FAI insists that CEO Jonathan Hill was not responsible for excessive payments made to him.
He was paid 12-and-a-half thousand euro last year in lieu of holidays not taken, and a further 8-thousand towards commuting expenses.
The payments took Hill’s salary beyond the amount allowed in the FAI’s memorandum of understanding with Sport Ireland.
