Everton have announced that long-serving chairman Bill Kenwright has died at the age of 78.
The club says he passed away last night surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Earlier this month, he spent a prolonged period in intensive care with complications from liver surgery - although he had been expected to make a full recovery.
