Spectra Predicts Drop in Sales

Listowel film processing company Spectra is predicting a 5% drop in sales this year according to a company source.The company which employs 180 people put a small number of staff on a three day week recently.Spectra has 80% of the film processing market, however due to the introduction of digital cameras the number of films requiring processing has declined.Radio Kerry news understands this short time arrangement is seasonal, although its unclear with the down turn in film processing, if these staff will be re employed to full time status.despite this the company has reported sales of 50 million euro.2003 was reported as the company`s best year, following the awarding of a contract to distribute Kodak products nationally.
